Unicellular organisms

Unicellular organisms: found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, are composed of a single cell capable of selfreplication. Among these organisms, unicellular eukaryotes exhibit greater complexity with larger and more intricate genomes. They encompass specialized organisms that perform various functions, including photosynthesis, movement, and the consumption of other organisms for nutrition. A notable example is the ciliated protozoan Paramecium, which is a large and complex cell specialized in both movement and feeding on bacteria and yeast.
