Sex Cells

Sex cell development is a crucial aspect of human reproduction. An egg cell and a sperm cell join during conception. Gametes, another name for these sex cells, are reproductive cells. Men's testicles create sperm cells, whereas women's ovaries produce egg cells. A complete genetic makeup is once again present in the offspring cell that results from fertilization between sperm and egg cells.

Function: They contain all of the genetic information required for this new organism to develop into adulthood.
